Mikas has been rising to the top of international music charts since founding his own label, Progressive Grooves, in 2005.

Mikas got his first set of decks in 1996 and his first club residency in 1997, his DJ sets are as vast in styles as there are people in this world, blending techno, house, electro, and progressive; he generates waves of pure energy on the dance floor.

Mikas’ music comes highly acclaimed by DJs all over the world, often being likened to Jerome Isma-Ae’s stomping beats, with the Flash Brothers’ uplifting yet profound vibe. The result is music that resonates with everyone, everywhere – from the club to the beachside.

Mikas had the chance to DJ for Hype Energy Drinks while he was residing in Whistler. He also had the opportunity to play at Whistler’s best clubs.

He recently signed seven of his songs to be included in two television shows to be aired this summer.

Now back in Vancouver for a few months, he is spending most of his time in the studio completing his second artist album “Illusions,” which is due out this spring.

Mikas’ own label, Progressive Grooves, has received support from some of the biggest names in the business, including Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Flash Brothers, Gareth Emery, Jerome Isma-Ae, Gianluca Motta and many more. France and the US have also picked up on the label’s success, having invited Mikas for live radio interviews.

In just over two years, the label’s unique sound has caused worldwide sensation; with over 30,000 digital song sales to date the label is now a fixture in today’s dance music scene. Last year, Mikas’ remix of the single “Breathing You In” reached the top spot in UK sales for its category.
